Haywards was established as a fine dining restaurant in 2013 by Amanda and Jahdre Hayward. In 2019, they were awarded 3 AA Rosettes and, over 10 years, have built a fantastic reputation for their excellent menus, creative, seasonal dishes, and providing service of the highest quality.

Now, the husband and wife team will be focusing on offering bespoke events, catering, private dining, conferencing and a regular schedule of ‘experiences’ to be held at Haywards. These experiences will include Sunday roasts, monthly and seasonal tasting menus, jazz evenings, and wine dinners.

Located on the outskirts of the charming market town of Epping and at the very edge of the historic Epping Forest, Haywards is the perfect setting to host your event.

 Haywards Sunday Roast – from £65 for 3 courses
The limited menu will include our homemade sourdough bread, amuse bouche, a choice of starter, main course and dessert, with petit fours to finish.
We currently have availability on the following Sundays:

31st May (roast chicken)
21st June/ Father's Day  (set menu- roast beef)

 Saturday 23rd May – Best of British
Experience the very best of British produce with a specially curated tasting evening celebrating the nation’s finest seasonal ingredients. The evening begins at 7 pm, indulge in a five-course menu showcasing classic flavours with a refined, modern touch. Your evening begins with a welcome drink, alongside freshly baked bread and an amuse-bouche, followed by a thoughtfully composed pre-dessert and a selection of handcrafted petit fours to conclude. Guests can elevate their experience further with an optional British cheese course and a perfectly paired wine flight. £85 per person.

Friday 5th June- June Tasting
Savour the tastes of early summer with our exclusive June Tasting Evening. Beginning at 7pm, enjoy a refined four-course menu accompanied by a welcome drink, freshly baked bread, and a delicate amuse-bouche. The experience continues with a pre-dessert and a selection of handcrafted petit fours to conclude the evening in style. For those wishing to enhance their meal, a British cheese course and a carefully curated wine flight are available as optional additions. £77.50 per person.

Friday 12th June – English Wine Dinner
Join us to celebrate English Wine Week with our specially curated English Wine Dinner, where you’ll enjoy a sparkling arrival glass followed by an amuse bouche and freshly baked bread, then three beautifully crafted courses each expertly paired with outstanding English wines, before finishing with a delicate pre-dessert and handmade petit fours, an elegant evening of seasonal flavours and exceptional local wines not to be missed. All included for £89.50 per person.

Sunday 21st June – Father’s Day
Celebrate Father’s Day with a special lunch starting at 1pm. Your experience begins with homemade bread and an amuse-bouche, followed by a set three-course menu, a pre-dessert, and petit fours to finish. Guests can also enhance their experience with a British cheese course and a paired wine flight, available as a supplement. The perfect way to treat the father figures in your life to a memorable and delicious celebration. £69.50 per person.

Friday 3rd July- Summer Tasting
Join us and embark on a culinary journey with our exquisite five-course tasting menu, meticulously crafted by Chef Hayward. Beginning at 7pm, enjoy a celebration of the season’s finest flavours, starting with a welcome drink alongside our signature homemade bread and an enticing amuse-bouche, before concluding with delicate petit fours. Guests can further enhance their experience with a British cheese course, expertly paired wines or opt for tea and coffee, available as a supplement. £85 per person.

Weddings, Private Events & Parties

We can cater for up to 50 guests for a sit-down meal at Haywards, or 80 guests for more informal dining.
We offer a bespoke service, with a team of professional staff to take you through every step of planning your special occasion.
We can also cater for you at a location of your choice.
We have a variety of menu options available to include, but not limited to, tasting menus, canapés and grazing tables.
We would be delighted to discuss all of the options with you and assist you in planning your special event.

Corporate

Whether it’s conferencing packages you are looking for or a corporate party, celebration, or product launch, we can help!
We offer four different layouts for conferencing and can accommodate 16 to 50 delegates at Haywards.
Our choice of conferencing packages include our award-winning coffee, homemade treats and snacks, and delicious luncheon grazing tables.

Accommodation
